Butler/Lambert House Fire Recovery Fund
On the morning of January 25th, a devastating fire broke out at the Butler/Lambert home on Tranquil Drive in Londonderry. The fire is thought to have erupted from an electrical outlet and quickly spread to engulf the entirety of the home- destroying every earthly possession inside.
Thankfully Michelle and Lucas, the occupants of the home at the time, made it out safely. Unfortunately, Abigail, the family’s beautiful, friendly pup was stuck in the house and did not survive despite the firefighters attempts at resuscitation. Abigail was a heroic dog who braved the flames to warn Michelle and Lucas that the home was beginning to burn- she will forever be in our hearts.
Backstory:
Michelle, Lucas, and Megan are some of the most generous, caring, and wholesome people we know. Michelle raised both Megan and Lucas in this house from birth and it continued to be a loving home for them both, right up until the fire. Both Megan and Lucas are alumni of Londonderry High School (Class of ‘15 and ‘12) where Megan was an avid cheerleader and continued her passion in her collegiate career at the University of New Hampshire.
You may recognize their house from before the fire, as it was once featured on local news when community members came together to provide the family with a much needed “Home Makeover.” Having survived breast cancer, a mastectomy, a brain tumor, and becoming a single parent of two young children in the midst of treatment, Michelle simply could not keep up with all the responsibilities of homeownership. The family was extremely grateful for the generosity of the community and with a clean bill of health, thought the worst was behind them- until the devastating morning of January 25, 2020 when fire erupted and has set this family back, once again.
The Butlers have an extremely long journey ahead of them to rebuild the home or find a new place to live. Unfortunately, all of their belongings have been destroyed in the fire and are unrecoverable. They have absolutely nothing of material value. All of it is gone.
We are asking friends, family, members of the community, and those who we may not know to come together to support this amazing family in such a devastating time. Please know that your contribution is accepted with the utmost gratitude and humility and we cannot thank you enough.
Where the Money Will Go:
ALL funds raised will be donated to the family to aid in the rebuilding of a place they can call home again. Furthermore, all the money raised will help in a multitude of areas- from buying basic essentials for living, such as clothes and jackets to filling prescriptions.
Please remember to hug those tightly around you and remind them that you love them each and every day.
With love and blessings to you and your family,
Scott Razzetti & Jen Ferreira
