On April 20, 2017 our sister Angie, had her life changed forever. Her husband, Roberto "Tito" Fernandez, Sr. passed away after a hard fought battle with Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a type of liver cancer. He was first diagnosed in June of 2016 and despite unsuccessful radiation treatments, chemo infusion, and chemo pills, Tito made it a priority to continue living his life to the fullest. His battle was filled with ups and downs, but through it all he never lost his fighting spirit, as Angie was right there by his side. Unfortunately, this meant taking time off of work to care for Tito and using up all her sick, vacation and leave time. This is an extremely difficult time, especially for Angie, as she is the sole provider for her family which includes caring for 2 of their grandchildren. There was no challenge too big for them. Together they loved hard and fought hard, for their family and for what they believed in. Life without Tito is the unimaginable reality that Angie now faces, as she is given the task of raising the grandchildren without Tito.
We are blessed and grateful for any assistance you are able to provide. Your donations will help with any additional funeral costs and allow Angie to take more time off of work to spend time with her grieving family, and find a way to live a new normal life. She is not only the sole provider but also becomes the primary caregiver of her family. Anything you can give will help Angie lighten the heavy burden of financial stress, to raise their grandkids the way Tito wanted.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity. God bless.
