In Loving Memory of Fructuoso 'Boy Purok' Calipusan

Dear friends, family, and those touched by the kindness of Fructuoso Calipusan better well known as, “Uncle Boy/Manong Boy”

I'm reaching out on behalf of the Calipusan Family to honor my uncle, Fructuoso Tagapulot Calipusan, who was known to be, as they say in bisaya, “matinabangon” - willing to help others. He was always warmhearted and treated everyone like family. Since day one, he treated me as his own, and it’s only fitting that I help now as we face the heartbreak of saying goodbye. He was called home and joined our heavenly Father, on November 2, 2024, leaving a huge hole in our hearts.

Born on August 23, 1944, in Villaflor Loboc, Bohol, Philippines, Uncle Boy was a family man through and through. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, blessed with three wonderful children and two beautiful grandchildren who adored him. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to providing for his loved ones and bringing joy to everyone he met.

As an engineer, he traveled far and wide, working in places like Brazil, Kuwait, and Chicago to support his family. Later, he ran a business in Long Beach, CA, and even fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening a hotel in his hometown, Stefanie Grace Paradise Inn. His dream was to create a place of beauty and hospitality. Guests often called him their “second dad,” and his smile made everyone feel like family.
