Restarting after a house fire: Anna Martinez

Donation protected
Us kids (11 of us...and yes same mom and dad for those who don't know :) are starting this Gofundme for our dearest and most incredible mother, Anna Martinez. She will hate that we are doing it, because she is the most giving, generous and selfless person we know. Hence why were doing it without her permission - sorry Momma!

The California fires burned her rental house to the ground earlier this week. Our mom and the 2 youngest siblings, Jesse and Esther had been in their new home for less than a year after our parents recent divorce.

Our mom isn't the asking type, and with literally loosing EVERYTHING, after just recently starting over, she does/will have needs that she won't ever mention.

***If you are in the North Fork area, would you reach out to her if you have anything extra that would help her refurnish a house once she finds one?

If you would like to help our mom financially, on behalf of us kids, and our wonderful mother, WE THANK YOU AND APPRECIATE IT MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER KNOW. She will be using the funds to help with finding a new place to stay, buying all the needed items to restart; couches, clothes, kitchen items, furniture, school items for the kids, washer dryer, bedroom furniture, beds, table, etc. Everything needed to start over.

Once this gofundme fundraiser is complete, we will be transferring the funds directly from this platform to our moms bank account.

Our little sister, Esther overlooking where the house used to stand.

If you know our mom, you know she loves people and loves Jesus. She wrote this yesterday on her Facebook page yesterday.

"Friends and Family
Our neighborhood was affected by the Creek Fire and unfortunately our place didn’t make it. I was able to evacuate when the warning was given last Saturday. We are thankful to have friends and family to stay with and have our immediate needs taken care of. I was able to get an escort up to Cascadel today to retrieve some items.

We took some video on our way into North Fork and Cascadel around noon. The videos might be of interest for some of the residents that live up there. We are very fortunate and thankful to the many who have reached out to us. While we are sad about the many things that we lost in the fire, we are grateful for what we have. I thank God for His loving care in my life and my children’s lives for over 33 years. I am resting in His care for our tomorrows.

I believe God allows things to happen and sometimes He directs them to happen. We don’t always know what is at the root of our circumstances. We are looking for a rental in our mountain area, if you know of available rentals and can forward me the information that would be great. Thank you!

A little saying my dear friend Teresa Caruthers and I say to each other reminds me where my heart is anchored right now.
God is good, all the time
All the time, God is good
He is all we have, He is all we need
He doesn’t waste anything"

Thank you mom for being who you are, and for always setting a beautiful example of love and grace. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH

ps. There's too many of us anyway, so please don't be mad at us...muahahah!
