Hi guys! Rest Your Paws Pet Refuge is a non-profit organization that needs our help! FSU Animal Society, Delta Nu Zeta, and Habitat for Humanity are combining their efforts to work on a restoration project for the animal shelter. They take in animals from kill shelters that are facing euthanasia in Tallahassee, Georgia, Alabama and surrounding areas, as well as taking in owner surrenders and strays. Only 2 ladies are running this rescue out of the kindness of their hearts, and they typically take care of 150+ dogs and cats at a time, paying out of pocket for their food and medical bills. They constantly take in litters of puppies that were abandoned or facing euthanasia at other shelters. Univeristy student volunteers is working to raise money to help them renovate their rescue. They don’t have enough kennels for the amount of dogs that get brought in, and they are working around the clock just to keep these animals alive so they can go to a loving homes. We are going to help them make an infant puppy care room, get new cages and runs, get the pups more food, buy them more leashes, and help them get their own medical supplies. We’re going to partner with Habitat For Humanity to help them fix problems within their building, and fix everything up so the rescue is a walkable “puppy heaven”. These ladies work so hard, we’re also going to make them a relaxing break room with any extra money we can get. We’re finding them fosters and sending volunteers to help, but they are constantly running out of cleaning supplies and need help with organization to make everything easier for them.
Anything you can donate helps! These sweet ladies are giving their lives to save the lives of these poor puppies, and they need their communities help to be able to keep doing what they do!
