As many of you know, my sweet sister lost the love of her life last week. Tika Marie was the sweetest, most loveable dog and she was Michele's everything. On May 5th, Tika was rushed to the vet and underwent emergency surgery and had her cancerous spleen removed. After surgery, tests came came back that Tika still had cancer and was given only a few weeks to live. In those short few weeks, Michele never left her side and slept next to her on the floor making sure her sweet baby girl was comfortable and giving her all the love and snuggles she needed. Tika had many visitors and was loved on by many during her last days. Michele's wonderful neighbors were amazing at helping watch Tika during the day while Michele was at work, giving Michele peace of mind that Tika was being cared for while she was away.

On May 31st, Tika lost her life while being held in her mom's arms looking out their favorite window. She slipped peacefully away knowing that she was truly loved by so many, especially by her mom.

After the passing of Tika, Michele has a very large vet bill to pay. I wanted to start this Gofundme to help take the burden off Michele and help cover the costs of her vet bill and lost wages from missing work while Tika was sick and after her passing.

Michele is the type of person who gives so much of herself to others, especially animals. Many times over the years, Michele has helped buy food, shelter, and toys for dogs who have gone without. She feeds strays and donates to local shelters and rescues.

I'm asking everyone to please help my wonderful sister during this difficult time. She is very humble and would never ask for help, even if it means going without. I know she has changed many lives in her generous giving and if you could return the favor and help her, I would be forever grateful.
