(Edit: I can’t believe how much you guys have done for me in less than 24 hours and I am so grateful for everything and everyone who have reached out to me. After meeting with the consultant at the mortuary and talking to my family i have decided to raise my goal. I didn’t want to ask for too much and went really modest but I realized I do actually need more than I thought to cover everything. Thank you for your love and understanding.)

Many of you who know me (Leola) know that my mom has been living with multiple disabilities for the last 10 years. Her most recent injuries left her bed ridden and wheelchair bound for the last 7 years. Recently, I decided to go to Sacramento to help my mom get more accessibility features installed in her home. I had not seen my mom since at least March 1, 2020. I was waiting to get my vaccination before I went to see her. Unfortunately, my mom died on May 4, 2021 at 3:14pm.
My mother was an extremely unique, ridiculous, loud, funny, caring and lovely person. She was obsessed with me and I will miss her constant calls and late night interrogations asking me where I'm at and telling me to "stay my little tail home". She always cared for me the best way she knew how. There is no way to begin to describe how intensely my mom will be missed by myself, her partner Dennis, my grandmother Mary and a countless number of family and friends.
I'm asking for help to cover the cost of: A small memorial service, cremation, viewing, multiple death certificates, obituary, service programs, a cemetery niche with a name plate, flowers, and truck rental fees. Anything more than what I am asking help with will be going directly to Dennis, my mothers care taker and partner of 24 years.
