On July 15th 2021, Martin’s alarm went off at 7 a.m. to take his mother to work. Unfortunately, this alarm could never have been loud enough to wake him up.



Martin's life was tragically taken away just a few hours before. At 2 a.m. on July 15th, he was the victim of a heinous and senseless road rage crime. He was intentionally hit from behind by a driver in a truck while riding his motorcycle home. Martin never completed that ride and at just only 28 years old, his journey was only the beginning.



His mother never got the chance to say goodbye to her only son. His sister Nadia awaits with soup they were meant to share; holding high hopes that her brother will still walk through the door. His brothers Sukhi and Shawn fighting endlessly to wake him, in what appears to be a never ending nightmare. His father, inconsolable.   
 


Martin leaves behind his loving family and many, many, loved ones. He was well known and liked in the West Indian community, and among his UFR RC club. He touched the hearts of audiences abroad through the reach of social media with his humorous and kind soul. Martin would have done anything to put a smile on your face. He would take the shirt of his back for anyone; he simply had a heart of gold.
