Rest In Peace Mom (Stephanie Rodgers-Parra)
On August 10, 2021, Stephanie Rodgers-Parra found peace in heaven. Through this loss, heaven has gained an angel. Words cannot describe how devastated my family and I are to say or even write that my mom has passed away. On Saturday, August 7, 2021, she was a passenger in a terrible car accident and was rushed to Arrowhead Regional Hospital with extensive trauma. Following four straight days in the ICU, her body could no longer fight, and the doctors officially announced her brain dead. Anyone who knew my mom would say she was best known for the love, support, and kindness she shared with those she encountered. Whether it was a stranger asking for a hand, or someone in need, she was always there for everyone.
The Lord took our mom home way too soon. As a result of this tragic accident, she left four children behind Junie, 18, Alyssa, 16, Alanna, 15, and Bella, 8, along with her mom, dad, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and many friends. My mom was loved by so many there are too many to list. She has been a medical assistant in Pediatrics for over 13 years; she always cared for the children of others as if they were her own. My mother was big-hearted and cared for others before she cared for herself. My mom was the most courageous, bravest woman I’ve ever met. She would always stand up for kids, take care of sick family members, and most certainly never failed to make anyone laugh. My mom was the type of person where you’d only talk to her for an hour and swear you’ve known her a lifetime. She was the definition of the craziest protective mom. She’d never fail to make someone’s day.
Rest In Peace, Mom; you’re now in heaven with baby sister, Lily, tia Adela, Uncle Nick, and all those who are now in paradise you loved so much. We will love you forever to the moon and back!
