For years, she said, “ There’s something wrong with me!” For years, “I’m in pain and I don’t feel well!” No one would listen. Blood pressure spikes that were stroke like, hot flashes, headaches, stomach pain, heart complications, yet no one listened. Light headed with dizzy spells, no one would listen. Finally yesterday, my mother was diagnosed with a very rare auto immune disorder. Alpha tryptasemia. Yet it was too late. At 2pm, May 10, 2023, Melinda Hooper was found by her husband non-responsive sitting in front of the fan from one of her “hot flashes/dizzy spells”. He administered CPR for 30 minutes until paramedics arrived but she was gone. The call came as such a shock we all said, “Dad, stop lying. This isn’t funny!” Melinda leaves behind her husband, six kids (2 minors) and 4 grandchildren. Our father is at such a loss and our little brothers now have to graduate with no mom. We are please asking for some help for funeral arrangements and to help pay bills for my dad. She held our house together like glue and now our father has to navigate bills, doctors appointments and school without his entire foundation. My dad was the supporter work wise and my mom took care of the children which one my 15 year old brother is high functioning autistic. My dad will be having to miss work for doctors appointments and home schooling the boys, they have 19 months of payments left on their house and funeral expenses and cremation expenses are what
we would appreciate help with. There was no life insurance and anything donated will help the two boys move forward in life as we figure out how to navigate this all.
