Rest in peace, Alexander
Donation protected
I am broken-hearted to share that Alexander died two nights ago after a long battle with a glioblastoma, a rare aggressive brain tumor for which there is no cure. In the months before he died, he was in constant pain and since his diagnosis at 16 years old he had undergone multiple brain surgeries. Due to cancer, Alex lost movement on the left side of his body. His parents never gave up hope and have been at his side for the past many months as he received medical care at Houston Methodist Hospital. They believed until the very end that they would all leave Texas together and that Alex would return home with his family.
The pain of losing a child is immeasurable and there are no sadly no words that any of us can offer to lighten the grief that Garrison and his family are experiencing. Their life will never be the same. Garrison and Jenifer returned from Texas this morning without Alexander. As I write this, they are preparing to cremate their son and will then face the unimaginable task of rebuilding their lives without their beautiful boy.
Please help relieve Garrison and Jenifer of the financial burden associated with the loss of their son so that they can focus all of their energy on grieving with their family. We are eternally grateful for any contribution that you are able to offer as well as ongoing prayers for Garrison and his family.
