Rest In Paint Usurps. Funeral and Charity Donation

Derek Ingle known by most as Usurps was an incredible friend and OG artist to the Space Taco , Space Brains Art Community. A master of street art and fine art Usurps never stopped painting, everywhere he was there was art, he painted on everything and anything he could get his hands on.  Leave nothing left unpainted, paint everything, paint all day, thats what Usurps would say. His drive and passion fueled us all as a community to thrive together to create magick. This magick was Usurps therapy, therapy for what so many of us have in common either knowing someone or having ourselves, mental illness. Usurps dealt with depression, and through his art he was able to generate happiness , happiness that brightens the spaces of so many peoples lives. Usurps struggled to find that happiness for himself, to manage the darkness and navigate the life he built for himself.  Usurps left this plane to find his peace March 31 in the foothills of Mount Baldy, a sacred space for himself and all the homies.  Usurps never stopped creating, on his final days he took a trip to Hollywood to do a mural.  Usurps never wanted to stop creating  Depression is just incredibly complicated, and sometimes people have a hard time reaching out. Usurps was our brother we all love and respect him so much, and want to help support his family and our community in this time of need. For the next month we are raising money to help with funeral costs and for a donation to the California Suicide Prevention Network. We want to start a conversation so we can help our friends from feeling like their feelings are a burden, that they aren't worthy of the chance to open up and release these thoughts that consume them, everyone is worthy of a fulfilling happy life. Please reach out when you're feeling some type of way, check in on your friends, spread love, be love, do love as Usurps always did.
