Rest Easy Tom

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce our dear friend, mentor, colleague, and loving husband, Tom Norris has passed. He was released from an arduous battle with pancreatic cancer on September 9th 2020. Throughout his journey he never once lost hope, and with the help of his beautiful wife Danielle, he was positive and upbeat to the very end.


Toms charisma and his big heartedness touched so many lives. His work as a marine biologist added valuable knowledge to science, and he ran his company with integrity and passion. He always gave back to the community and could often be found donating equipment to underfunded projects, or mentoring students who had no experience in the field. He loved surfing and living life to the fullest. As a perpetual bachelor, we never thought Tom would settle down, but when he met Danielle she changed his life forever. His once stubbornness was replaced with an open heart full of love for his future wife.

 
He and Danielle share a passion for life and they always took the time out of their day to be grateful for their love for one another.  Danielle has been a silent hero throughout Tom’s battle with cancer. Not only has she been a dedicated and loving wife, but she has also been his primary caretaker. With Tom’s passing we would now like to take care of Danielle.

Any donation made will help alleviate some of the stress caused by the unexpected medical bills that now fall on Danielles shoulders, her stepping away from work, and aid to Tom’s celebration of life arrangements. The last thing we want is for someone who is grieving, to feel the unnecessary burden of these extra expenses. Every gesture no matter how small would certainly bring a smile to Tom’s face.


We want to thank Danielle for the all care and love she has shown to Tom. We know that in Danielle, Tom finally found his soulmate. Now, those of us who loved Tom can do what we can to assist her in his memory.
