Last night around midnight, I lost my sister Nicole in a traffic accident. Part of me has a million things I could say, and part of me really is speechless as we're still in disbelief that someone so sweet could be taken so soon. My family and I are totally devastated.
I'm her younger brother- and she was the best sister I could have ever asked for, and honestly my closest friend- she's been there for me quite actually every time I've ever needed her, and I really hope she could have said the same about me. These past 8 months we spent after moving in to a new place together were some of the most memorable, and pleasant months of my life, no matter how stressful work/life/money got for us at times; I always had my sister I could talk to. Consult. Vent to. Do chores with. Literally whatever.
I'm not sure what I'm gonna do moving forward now, but there is one thing that I'm very sure of-
My family really needs this money to help cover the expenses of her cremation and funeral service. Years ago she'd mentioned being cremated and given back to the ocean. So, we want to make sure that we can at the very least do that for her. Give her a service she would be comfortable with, and send her out to sea.
Investigations are still ongoing with what exactly happened in the accident.
I'm so, so sorry I couldn't be there in your last moments, Nicole. We love you.
Rest easy, sis.
***SERVICE DATE IS TBD***
We're aiming to have some money by Monday so that we can have everything paid for and the service date finalized then.
Anything helps us out immensely, even if we don't reach the goal.
If you were close to her, please reach out to me or my family about details on the service date once we know when it is.
