Serita's Sangha: CrowdFunding for QTBIPOC
Healing Justice Crowdfunding to support QTBIPOC Liberation
In February 2019 I led a powerful group of predominantly black, brown, poc, queer, trans and non-binary students on a retreat called Rest & Liberation in Troncones, México. As a healer and educator in sustainable healing practices rooted in Yoga and Ayruveda this work created space, dialogue, and deeper study from the science of yoga and ayurveda for the purpose of self mastery and liberation. I witnessed incredible transformation from everyone and the power of making space particularly for people of color who are often not given space to heal. It changed my life.
I'm fundraising now so I can continue to provide these teachings to QTBIPOC (queer, trans, black, indigenous, people of color) through scholarship and stipend. I want to make room in Minneapolis and abroad for people who wouldn't consider a retreat, immersion or private session for lack of funds to have this access now. I see a lot of burn out and sickness due to overworking and not getting space to breathe. We need spaces for ourselves to heal.
Your donations will help cover the following for students:
travel costs, retreat and educational costs, lost wages, food, accommodations, private sessions with me prior to retreats or immersions.
More importantly your donations will incentivize people who would not normally consider themselves eligible, deserving or have financial access to go on these healing justice retreats and immerse themselves in practices that liberate, heal and bring us inner prosperity and collective joy.
Healing justice is not just about self care, but collective care!
