Ressler House Fire
Donation protected
Hi everyone, as some of you may already know my family’s house/my childhood home had burned down Saturday March 5th around 5:30 AM. My father, my sister and I started the day with one of the worst phone calls and my mother and two brothers 20 & 10 woke up to smoke starting in the shed that sat only a few feet away from the house to then quickly spread after several explosions.
I’ll start by saying everyone involved was safe and only had minor injuries and a trip to the ER. We unfortunately had lost your two dogs Quigley and Poker our Cats MooMoo and Tips. Our pig Pickles was/is safe and only suffered light burns and stress.
I want to thank all those who reached out and were here to help. A shout out to all the firemen, nurses, officers, fire marshals and EMT etc. with a total of 4 ambulances, 6 rush trucks, 12 firetrucks and counting .
They came in surprise of how far away we live with little resources. They worked hard to retrieve water from the pond nearby which is the only water source available for the area that’s about 1/2 mile down the road. They strung hose from the house to the pond as fast as possible to begin in hopes to extinguish the flames that had already engulfed the house completely. With my family and I to watch, quickly loosing hope with the understanding that we would have to say goodbye to the 25+ year old house the place we called home and hours later we eventually did.
Lastly, I plan to start a gofund me fundraiser to help with clothes, shoes, food, supplies, bath stuff, blankets, and school supplies etc. Any donations are greatly appreciated. We are so grateful for all the help already and that no one was seriously injured.
Again THANK YOU all who was in touch.
