Respite for Fr. Patrick

We all know our feisty Irish friend Fr. Patrick dedicates his life to helping others. As a priest and friend, he nurtures our lives and souls. He spends his time serving others while often neglecting his own physical and mental health needs. As Chaplain at the VA in Nashville, he ministers to patients, family members, and staff. In the VA hospital environment, he deals with the ministry and emotions surrounding death. Especially during COVID! And it's catching up to him. He needs a break- physically, mentally, and emotionally. As a priest working for the VA, he does not get the sabbatical that many parish priests receive. So any time off would be unpaid. He is taking a 12-week leave unpaid. He doesn't know we are doing this .... but we are raising some funds so he can take the break without worrying about the finances. Lord knows he has earned his keep over the years ministering to many. Any amount is appreciated! Let's support our priest and our friend.
