Resources for Rainy- Helping fight against PAH
Donation protected
This beautiful strong woman is my Aunt, Lorraine Robbins. For the past several years of her life she has been fighting hard to breathe and to live normally due to a disease called Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. She is the strongest, most courageous woman I know, and she needs our help! About 100 days ago she was admitted to the hospital of UPenn where they told her she was unable to leave until she received a double lung transplant. With the help of amazing doctors and nurses, she has received the transplant and is continuing to push through and fight every single day. She is a real life wonder woman. During her last few days in the hospital she finally got to go outside, to get some fresh air, see the flower garden, and her words "chase the sunshine". As you probably know, hospital bills are crazy- let alone for a stay of over 100 days. With all of the procedures and medical treatments that my Aunt Rainy has needed, I ask that you please consider donating some money to help her and her family. They don’t need any more to worry about and I would like to help them lessen this burden. Rainy came home on Friday, October 23rd but will have to be in and out of a rehabilitation facility for several weeks, where they will help her get back on her feet. I thought it would be nice if we could come together and help her as well. There are a handful of expenses that we would all like to help them cover. Not only are a hospital stay, and countless medical procedures very costly, but they will also have to pay for large medical deductibles and numerous anti-rejection medicines (with much higher than typical co-pays). My uncle Jackie had also been driving up to UPenn as much as he can after working everyday- spending hundreds of dollars on gas and having to pay to park at the hospital as well, just to spend time with and support his wife. Their two daughters, Phoebe (freshmen at Temple) and Lorelei (student at CB South) have expenses of their own that we would also like to help them with. They are all amazing people, that I admire immensely, who have been fighting through this together for so long. Now, I completely understand the recent hardships of this crazy time and the pandemic, but I ask you please, if you have it, to consider donating to this gofundme- to help my Aunt Rainy and her beautiful family get back on their feet. This money will help in so many ways and would be one less thing that they have to worry about- so they can focus on Rainy and her getting better. Any amount helps! Keep praying and keep sending love! Thank you. ❤️❤️
