Resources and Sensory space
Donation protected
At Early Intervention Support Services (EISS), our vision is for each child with a diagnosis of Autism within our service to have the ability to fulfil their individual potential and for their families and community be empowered to support them. We aim to ensure early access to high quality, evidence-based education, and support.
In August 2011, EISS was established to meet the continual community demand for a specialist preschool in North Dublin for children with Autism. After receiving a diagnosis a vast number of families were just left “on their own” to source appropriate education placement for their children and find services appropriate for the child’s needs. We felt it was important to provide these families with an option and a welcoming and inclusive educational setting for these children. We cater for children from diagnosis until six years of age. Children typically can avail of this type of support for one or two years. We do not charge tuition and are instead funded solely by the Home Tuition Grant. Services in children’s disability are massively underserviced and we hope to help as many families as we can, with the hope to bridge that gap in this area.
All proceeds raised from this page will go towards replacing much loved and needed resources we lost in the devastating flood we encountered in our school in late June, as well as creating an appropriate sensory space within our class for the next school year. A sensory space is a major asset to our little ones to support their regulation and gross motor development. Unfortunately, these spaces are very costly to create and will remain out of reach without the support of generous donors.
We appreciate how difficult money is for everyone now, but even the smallest donation can make a big difference to our cause! Thank you from the staff, children and families of EISS!
