Hi, I’m Kristen!

I’m a resource teacher in Indianapolis, working with incredible students from kindergarten through fourth grade. My students have diverse learning needs, and I am passionate about helping each of them grow and succeed in their own unique ways. Every day, I get to witness their resilience, creativity, and determination, which makes my job so rewarding.

I’m also lucky to work alongside an amazing team of educators who share the same dedication to supporting our students. Together, we strive to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and empowered to learn.

Support Our "Resource Refreshers" Project!

Every Friday morning, my students take on the role of baristas, serving cold brew coffee to our teachers through our Resource Refreshers project. This isn’t just about coffee—it’s about building confidence, practicing social skills, and fostering independence.

As they greet teachers, take orders, and engage in conversation, they apply the communication skills we’ve been working on in real-life situations. For some, this means gaining confidence in speaking English; for others, it’s an opportunity to practice Spanish with bilingual teachers. The growth we see each week is incredible!
