As some of you already know, Resolution Audio Video / Stereobuyers was massively impacted by a huge five-alarm fire that started Wednesday September 17th. Adam has been selling our speakers since he first started his company just under 17 years ago. Many of you have seen the positivity, joy, and passion that Adam and his team have been putting out into the world via YouTube and Instagram and in person. They've been a positive force in the Hi-Fi and smart home industry.
Adam has told me clearly that he would prefer people purchase things from Resolution A/V as a sign of support instead of donating cash, but I'm going to say right now that he will need all the help he can get to rebuild his 7500sft showroom, warehouse, and offices. While the 150 year old building is still standing, and the fire did not reach his space, it has been utterly devastated inside by smoke and the seawater the fire boats pumped in for over 24 hours. He still does not yet know when he can get back into his showroom, offices, and warehouse, but as soon as he is allowed.. he will begin rebuilding.

For 17 years, Resolution Audio Video has been a custom installation business outfitting smart homes in Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Hamptons, and beyond. Always with a focus on sound quality and Hi-Fi.
Concurrently, I've run a separate business, Stereobuyers, buying and selling pre-owned Hi-Fi equipment and vinyl. My warehouse was a treasure trove of irreplaceable audio components from all eras of Hi-Fi history.
Over the past few years I've had a vision of a new type of Hi-Fi shop to push back against the pervasion of internet Hi-Fi mail order. I wanted to build out something special - a space where people can come listen and feel comfortable. We've built the listening room by hand over the course of 2 years, stocked it with what we feel is the best Hi-Fi has to offer and have been operating for little under one year with great success.
The first responders did an unbelievable job, and our landlord Gregory O'Connell Jr. has been very supportive. Thankfully, the fire itself did not reach our space but first responders who had access to it have advised us that our space was flooded from all angles with saltwater from the fireboats, and to expect a total loss. We have already engaged with our insurance company but of course no business is prepared for a total loss.
We have a thriving custom installation business with over 40 active projects right now. Millions of dollars in stock staged for these projects. Likely all a loss. My team converged immediately, and we're working on these projects like nothing has happened at all. These customers have nothing to worry about. Replacement goods are already in the mail to us.
Including myself, we are a team of 12. Mostly full-time, some part-time. I offer health insurance, 401(k) contributions, profit sharing. I have the greatest, most passionate, loving team. Some of my longest-serving employees have been with me since the beginning.
My mind and my heart right now are with my team, my customers, my fans and supporters.
Our plan is to make lemonade from lemons. Rebuild as soon as possible. We've started already, and will come back bigger and better than ever before. My business was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and I did the same back then.
While donations will certainly help, we want to continue supporting the industry as a whole. So we welcome purchases from us over donations. Our team is mobilized and fully functional, and already working on our next chapter.
