Thank you for your continued support. We want to first thank each and every one of you for reaching out to us during this time of uncertainty. Of utmost importance to us is the safety and well-being of our friends, staff, and our guests.
It’s difficult to believe that next month will be Residual Sugar’s 10th anniversary. 10 years! It’s been a helluva ride, and it’s been our esteemed honor serving you and allowing us to be apart of this amazing community for the last decade. You’ve been with us throughout the inevitable ups and downs of life; birthday celebrations, graduations, job promotions, match.com/tinderdates, engagements, anniversaries, births, deaths, breakups, fires, drought, and earthquake disasters, rolling blackout power outages, and the Great Recession. Love, Laughter and tears.
Like many of our brothers and sisters within the hospitality industry, we’ve been forced to take extreme measures and furlough 100% of our hourly employees. Those employees relied on us to help pay their bills, healthcare, and other debt obligations so that they may provide for their families. This is devastating for our entire staff and our priority is finding creative ways to provide a financial life line to them so that they may receive a living wage throughout this pandemic crisis. We’re calling on you, our loving, supportive community of friends, family, and guests, for your help. Our hope is that through this GoFundMe page, we can take some of the financial burden off of our employees, without whom Residual Sugar would, and could not exist.

100% OF EVERY DOLLAR WILL GO TO OUR BARTENDERS, BARBACKS, AND HOURLY BACK OF THE HOUSE NON SALARIED EMPLOYEES. NO MONEY WILL GO TO OWNERSHIP, RENT, TAXES, THIRD PARTY PURVEYORS, OR DEBT OBLIGATIONS. THIS IS STRICTLY FOR OUR STAFF AND WILL BE EQUALLY DIVIDED.
Once we come up for air from our shelter in place, and we’ve defeated this evil bastard pathogen that is the Covid-19 Coronavirus, next time you go out for a drink or a bite to eat, please take a moment to consider and appreciate the staff providing you with service, and remember to always tip them generously for their hard working efforts.
