Residential Treatment Deductible for Gabriel

Donation protected
Conduct Disorder is the most recent diagnosis for Gabriel. This is the juvenile diagnosis for anti-social personality disorder, also know as sociopathy. The diagnosis is not given easily. And this is just another one to add to the pile: Asperberger's, Bipolar, Dis-regulated Mood Dysfunction Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression.

Gabriel possesses very clear traits of Conduct Disorder: lack of empathy towards other people and animals, violence when things don’t go his way or he doesn’t get what he wants, complete disregard for the feelings of others, property destruction, stealing, complete lack of executive functioning, and no impulse control.

Gabriel was born this way. He's suffered no trauma and has been raised in a loving home. Signs of illness began as early as four years old. Mental illness, unfortunately, runs in both sides of the family.

Gabriel abuses everyone in the home, sometimes daily. Mom and Dad have scars and bruises. Not only is the family assaulted physically, but the verbal abuse is constant. Gabriel also abuses friends and therefore is unable to maintain friendships.

It’s a miracle that Gabriel is actually alive. He's played with a gun found at a friend's house that went off. He puts himself in danger often. He gets in fights and has ended up with concussions. He's gotten into the car with strangers twice. He will walk into a strangers home. He talks frequently of suicide. And he talks frequently of killing family or people he doesn't like. He's started the carpet in his bedroom on fire.

All doctors are in agreement that Gabriel needs long-term, residential treatment. He's a danger to himself and others. Mom, dad, and brother have all been diagnosed with PTSD and are in need of respite desperately.

There is a program willing to accept Gabriel in three weeks, for a minimum 45-day stay. Insurance is expected to cover all but the deductible of just under $10,000. The deductible is needed at the time of admission.

Any help is appreciated, even a share.
