Research Girl is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to democratize access to research mentorship. Since our founding, we've reached over 50,000 students across 161 countries, and we've done it all for free.

We connect students from underrepresented backgrounds with volunteer mentors who guide them through hands-on research projects. Our programs run entirely online, breaking down geographic and financial barriers that have traditionally kept students out of STEM research opportunities.

The majority of our students come from communities where research mentorship simply doesn't exist. Through Research Girl, they gain the skills, confidence, and credentials to pursue competitive college programs and STEM careers; opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach.

We're run by a small but mighty team of volunteers and mentors who believe every curious student deserves a chance to contribute to real research, regardless of where they live or what resources they have access to.
