Rescuing Noel: A Story of Hope and Healing - continued

March 1, 2025 - Noel’s journey in the nine weeks on this earth has been challenging. She started out with serious gastrointestinal issues which we eventually got past with many, many vet visits, diagnostics and tests. Trying to figure out what works for her milk wise and supplement wise. However, we achieved that. Then yesterday, the unthinkable happened. While outside for our normal play time, Noel swallowed a wood chip from some firewood we had stacked on the patio, and started choking. I could not get it dislodged and ran her to the vet. While on the table she crashed. He had to do lifesaving measures to keep her alive, attaching monitors and oxygen afterwards, but he stabilized her.

Even though we went in for her choking, which she dislodged on her own, her blood worked showed major abnormalities including anemia and something wrong with her heart and liver. We don’t exactly know what that is yet, as next week we will take her back, once she gets some good rest over the weekend.

I was able to take her home, by the grace of God, and now we wait til we can get her back to the doctor and figure out how to treat whatever it is she has, including a blood transfusion from her sibling possibly.

I’ve increased the goal for her because yesterday alone cost well over 1000, with the x-rays, bloodwork, fluids, medication, and emergency care and the future diagnostics won’t be any less expensive, especially a transfusion.

I know how much her supporters love and care for her as much as I do, and so I ask once again to help me keep this little lamb alive who has brought so much love and hope to so many.

She is my everything and I will do everything possible to keep her alive. Barring no expense and sacrificing everything I have just for my little girl.

Thank you and God bless.

Hello, my name is Heide Cooper, and I’m the founder of the 5150 Farm and Rescue, a non-profit farm animal rescue in Springtown, Texas.

On December 26th, I was messaged from a friend saying that her boss had a little lamb that was born on Christmas Day, that was rejected from her mother. She and her twin survived the cold winter birth, but the mother was head butting her out of the enclosure and trying to trample her to death. When she was found, she was freezing cold, lethargic, and dying.

I had no intentions on doing any more intakes until after winter was over, but I didn’t hesitate in saying that I would absolutely help save this baby’s life. They met me the next day at my art gallery and our lives together had officially begun.

Little did I know that her precious story would skyrocket into people’s lives from all over the world through our tik tok videos and capture hearts through her precious smiling face and fun antics.

The problem is, she has been plagued with gastrointestinal issues, all of which I have desperately tried to manage through hands on vet care, medications, and feed.

I am a small operation with a budget that is mainly funded by my personal art gallery, but at this rate I won’t be able to sustain the bills and her care without sacrificing the welfare of my business and the other animals in my care.

I know as a non-profit, I should be used to always asking for assistance but I’ve done majority of it by myself for years now. I never wanted to rely solely on donations to keep my animals alive. If I couldn’t do it, then I would shut it all down, but I have to set my pride aside now to save Noel, my Christmas lamb and to keep my doors open.

Would you consider maybe donating for her care specifically, so I don’t have to worry about pulling funding for others?

Make no mistake, I would absolutely close everything down to save her life, she is the definition of everything good in my life, but it would be a shame after all the hard work I’ve put in saving everyone else’s lives.

So here I am, asking you to help me with her specialized care until she gets stable if at all possible.

I promise you if this were your farm animal, I would absolutely help you however I can. That holds true whether you donate or not.

Noel, our Christmas lamb, and renewer of faith and hope across the world needs us all.
