Rescuing Mandi

There once was a boy named Tyler who loved a dog named Mandi. Tyler rescued Mandi, and Mandi rescued him right back. They were inseparable. Tyler had a gentle, loving nature, and Mandi, in turn, was also gentle and loving. Then Eventually, Tyler and Mandi also loved a girl named Kelsey. They traveled far and wide, from Missouri to California to Utah to Colorado. Tyler and Kelsey and Mandi were a happy little family, and planned to live happily ever after.

But life had other plans.

Tyler left this world just before the rest of the world ended. Kelsey and Mandi did their best to keep living and loving Tyler, and each other, while the pandemic kept everyone far apart. For Kelsey, taking care of Mandi was a life raft in a sea of grief. She was the last part of Tyler that remained.

Little by little, the world came back to life, but Tyler was still gone.

Now, Mandi is sick, and needs surgery. She’s still a sweet and happy dog, and Kelsey has done everything she can, but the expenses have become more than she can muster.
