Rescuing a cat from Cyprus

Hello my name is Bethany from the UK and I’m trying to rescue a poorly cat from Cyprus and bring her over to the UK for her furever home with me. I recently went on holiday to Paphos Cyprus for my sisters wedding, and I was very upset by the amount of stray cats they have. I was feeding them while on holiday. I met this one cat as seen in the picture who appeared poorly with an eye infection and just not herself. I was going home soon and didn’t want to leave this cat in a poorly state so I reached out to the groups on fb to see if anyone could help her. I was sign posted to a TNR group who couldn’t find her however a lovely girl called Maria reached out to me and said she will get the cat help. During this time I’ve decided to adopt the cat and have been organising/speaking to people about getting the cat flown over here. Today Maria managed to catch the cat and take her to the vets, she has suspected cat flu, has had her first rabies jab, has been microchipped and got some eye drops for her eye. She is going back to the vets this Wednesday to see how her cat flu is doing and receive the remainder of her injections. I am hoping to fly her out on the 2nd of August via elite. This is going to cost me 290-350 pounds, on top of that it will be 295 for the cat to be transferred from London to my home near Manchester. I will also have the crate to pay for on top of this, pet passport and any remaining vet fees. I’m just wondering if any fellow cat lovers could spare even a couple of euro/pounds towards this it would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou in advance ❣️

update. 11/7/25 The cat now called Pepper is currently having an over night stay at the vets for some teeth extracting due to gingervitus and is having full blood work as she seems a poorly cat. Fingers crossed all will be okay

update 24/7/25

Pepper has undergone, anti biotic injections, successfully removed some teeth which has resolved the gingervitus, she is just awaiting her gov health check next week and fit to fly examination and she will be all good to fly on the 1/8/25

update
pepper is now in the UK with me, she’s been here for 2 months. she still needs vet care such as neutering, routine injections and ongoing dental care. As you can imagine this isn’t cheap so any donations are welcome.
