Hi! My name is Ness (Vanessa Newbold) and I am fundraising for RescueNet a Christian emergency relief and rapid response team. I will be cycling from London to Amsterdam then to our base in Heidebeek over 3 days (29th August-31st August) and I would love you to help me support this amazing organisation.
RescueNet has been around since 1986 and responded to many disasters including earthquakes, tsunamis, cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons and assisting wounded victims and survivors from the aftermath of wars.
RescueNet is trained to provide light search and rescue, Emergency medical care via our mobile clinic, Logistics, Psychosocial support and Child Care and Protection. I personally have worked with RescueNet since 2013 and deployed to Nepal after an earthquake and Vanuatu after a cyclone. I have seen the impact RescueNet makes and the love and hope they bring to those suffering. The team are all volunteers and freely respond at a moments notice to go and help, support and love those most at need.
Currently RescueNet is in its final stages of getting registered and certified under the WHO (world health organisation) as an Emergency Medical Team (EMT) type 1 mobile. To be able to pass this final stage we are fundraising for finances needed to be fully financially funded as an organisation and for medical supplies, equipment like tents for mobile clinics, chairs, hand washing stations, radios, lighting, food supplies, and much more.
Can you help me and our team to continue making a difference in this sometimes scary world, and to continue showing love and hope to those in some of the most devastating situations? Every donation makes a big difference!
You can find out more and follow RescueNet on:
And if you want to see and watch me defeat the hills of England and supposedly flat land of Netherlands (be warned I’ll probably look gross, I’m fit but this is something else ) I will be documenting the journey on YouTube at: https://youtube.com/@vanessanewbold-cyclefundraiser
Thanks! Ness
