When Eric and I decided to have a wedding, we agreed that we would do so only if we used the event to raise awareness of a cause we strongly believe in. We have been blessed in so many ways, I lose count. We have our health, safety, opportunities, and more THINGS than we can use in a lifetime. More importantly, we have the inmeasurable support of friends and family. Our wedding is a celebration of all of these blessings, as well as an opportunity to support an organization that is dedicated to giving to those who don't have the same blessings and opportunities we have. Please consider donating to Rescue Foundation in lieu of a wedding gift.

Upon arrival, they are beaten, starved, burned with cigarettes, and raped. It is estimated that around
250, 000 women and girls are currently forced into this situation. Many of them are sick with HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, or other diseases and often have children of their own. Children who will end up in in the same tragic circumstances if this crime is not stopped.

Rescue foundation investigates these brothels, and performs risky raids with the help of local law enforcement. Once the girls have been rescued, Rescue Foundation provides safe homes, meals, physical and mental health care, vocational training and legal aid.
Poverty, lack of education, and the caste system all create an inequality In India, particularly among young girls, leaving them vulnerable to predators. These innocent young girls are ripped from their homes, and forced to lead a life crippled with indignity, social stigma, debt bondage and a host of ailments including HIV/AIDS. Rescue Foundation teaches these girls to process the trauma and shame through meditation, and pyscological counseling.
Computer skills and an education ensures that they will be able to make it on their own and not fall victim again to traffickers.

Physical exercise is a necessary part of their recovery.

After the girls are rescued from the brothels, Rescue Foundation admits them into one of three Protective Homes, where they receive a comprehensive medical examination. Girls who are suffering with an illness are given counseling and medicine. Almost every girl who enters Rescue Foundation is afflicted with a sexually transmitted disease. Those who are suffering from HIV are given special consultation. Rescue Foundation is currently constructing a Recovery Care Centre in Boisar, India to provide care by medical experts in HIV, initiate psycho-social counseling, and feed them nutrient rich food so that they do not contract any diseases.
Why We Must Help
Because we have been given so much in life, we feel it is our responsibility to help others. What we have found in our experience with giving is that we don't have less when we give to others, we somehow have so much more. Please consider helping these girls, and this amazing organization. Your love and support throughout the years have been cherished gifts. We respectfully request no other.
