Hi my name is Patch & I want to tell you my story. My current dad can only start to tell you my history from when I was 17 months old. He heard of me at risk of being put to sleep in the pound as my time was up. & I was fearful & not coping very well. & so he set off from Norwich & drove to Milton Keynes to rescue me & offer me a temp foster home. He had had dogs all his life, But He can only describe me as the most broken dog he'd ever met. & at first if he tried to walk me outside & someone walked towards us I would vomit or poo on the spot from fear. My new foster home had multi dogs. & I lived here for 6 or 7 months & my new foster dad taught me to trust & to be less fearful.I even learnt to play & I loved the other dogs. They all taught me how to be a dog again. I was never meant to stsy here. But my foster dad when the time was right 7 months later found me a really good home. & a brilliant owner. But was sad when it came to saying goodbye. But I didn't go far. I went to live 2 doors up the street With a friend of my foster dad that had known each other 30 years. & So this meant I still got to see my foster dad & the pact members I lived with all the time. I went off to my new home. & this should have been my happy ever after. I lived in my new home for 8 years & was very loved. But I never forgot my foster dad. & would go bananas when I seen him. & people said I was totally diffrent. But then my forever dad was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus. & my forever dad got really poorly. & foster dad did everything he could to help dad get well again. But during chemo dad asked if my foster dad would look after me till he was stronger. We both knew this was the only other person I trusted & I'd be safe with. Sadly my forever dad passed away from cancer 3 months later. & so my Foster dad said I could spend the rest of my life back with him & my pact pals. But 1 year later disaster struck once more. I seemed to have a eye issue where I went for a vet check. & they said I was glaucmoa. & so My dad took me to a eye specialist who said my lens had slipped. & I had lost sight in it. & so I needed a eye removing. My dads on a low income but does try & save toward vets cost. But the cost of my surgey was £1822. Although My new dad got me straight in to have surgery at Debenham vets it's been tough both finacally & mentally for him. But he said he's right here with me as I'm family now
