- I
During my trip to Mexico, I met Valentina — a gentle, loving pup who was found in her local mercado, severely injured and in desperate need of help. I couldn’t turn away. In my last days there, I made sure her belly was full and gave her a safe place to rest, but she needed much more. After taking her to the vet, we learned she has a transmissible venereal tumor (TVT), which requires weekly chemotherapy treatments.
Even though I had to return to the U.S., I promised Valentina that she wouldn’t be left behind. With the help of kind people in Mexico, she’s receiving the care she needs, and I am covering her expenses from here. But the costs are more than I can manage alone, and that’s why I’m reaching out.
Your support would go directly toward:
• Weekly chemotherapy treatments
• Medications for side effects caused by chemo
• Flea and parasite prevention
• Special shampoos for her skin allergies
• Spay surgery once she’s healthy enough
• Food and comfort items
• Building a small safe space for her to recover in Mexico
Every dollar raised will go directly to Valentina’s care while she undergoes treatment over the next few months. Anything extra will be used to help other animals in need in Mexico.
My dream is not only to help Valentina heal, but to continue supporting other animals in Mexico in the future — both by working with people there and by returning myself to continue rescue efforts.
Valentina has already shown incredible strength, and every little bit of help brings her closer to the healthy, happy life she deserves. Whether it’s donating, sharing her story, or helping us find her a forever home when she’s ready — you are part of her journey.
Thank you for helping me keep the promise I made to this beautiful soul. One act of kindness can change a life, and for Valentina, it already has.
