Cookie Is Finally Free—Now Help Her Breathe

Cookie is a sweet French Bulldog who was recently surrendered as part of a felony animal cruelty case involving nine dogs.

For nearly 10 months, she waited in legal limbo while the case made its way through the court system. During that time, she could not be adopted or receive the life-changing surgery she desperately needs.

Now, the case has finally been resolved, and Cookie is free.

After nearly a year of uncertainty, she is no longer considered evidence in a court case. Instead, she is finally ready to become what she was always meant to be—a beloved family member. Her foster family, who has loved and cared for her throughout this journey, is ready to adopt her.

But Cookie still needs help. Cookie Can't Breathe

Cookie suffers from BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome), a serious condition common in flat-faced breeds like French Bulldogs. Because her airway is severely restricted, even simple activities can be a struggle.

  • She struggles to breathe.
  • She struggles to exercise.
  • She struggles to sleep comfortably.
  • She struggles simply to be a dog.

BOAS surgery can dramatically improve her quality of life by helping her breathe properly for the first time.

Unfortunately, Webster Animal Control has faced multiple cruelty cases this year and does not have funding available for this specialized surgery. That's why we're asking for your help.

Your donation will help cover her:

BOAS surgical consultation
BOAS airway surgery
Spay surgery
Veterinary care and recovery

We have received an estimate of $3,389.55 - $6,753.91 from MSPCA Angell West (Waltham).
Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward Cookie's BOAS surgery, veterinary care, and recovery.

Cookie has already endured so much. Now that she's finally free, we're hoping to give her the healthy, happy future she deserves.

Every donation helps. If you can't donate, please share her story.

❤️ Please help Cookie breathe.
Help Cookie heal. Help Cookie start her new life.

This is Cookie's reality every day. Please turn the volume up and listen to how hard she has to work just to breathe.

A pool noodle may look simple, but for Cookie it helps prop her head up just right and extend her neck, making it easier to keep her airway open and breathe.

Cookie wishes she could run and play with her siblings like a normal dog. Unfortunately, severe BOAS makes that impossible for her.

Donation Disclaimer
All funds raised through this campaign will be used solely for Cookie's veterinary care, including her BOAS surgery, spay, medications, follow-up appointments, and related medical expenses.

Should donations exceed the amount needed for Cookie's care, any remaining funds will be donated to Webster Animal Control to help care for other animals in need. Webster Animal Control receives limited funding and often relies on community support to provide medical care and assistance for animals in their care.

Thank you for supporting Cookie and helping other animals in need within our community.
