Hero Needs a Hero

I am making this GoFundMe for my best friend, Lisa, and her husband, Dennis.

As many of you saw me posting in late January about the dog that showed up at our workplace and was taken to Animal Control by our GM - Lisa and Dennis adopted him! We couldn't be more happy for him He absolutely adores his new family - even his new fur-sisters He enjoys galloping through the house, having squeaky toy parties, going for walks, and kissing his new sisters. He is SUCH a sweet baby! His new name is Hero because he loves his disabled daddy so much that he will probably end up being his service dog.

But - he needs a dentist ☹️ Since being adopted, Lisa noticed his canine tooth and surrounding teeth are rotten. Here is what she has to say:

Had to take our sweet Hero to the vet today. A couple of weeks after we adopted him we noticed one of his canines had changed color slightly, so I scheduled a vet appointment. A few days after scheduling his appointment we checked his mouth again and noticed his canine tooth had broken in half so it must have been cracked and the tooth next to it as well. We were referred to a vet that specializes in canine dentistry and the quote is about $1k but that is without being seen so hopefully it is less. The canine tooth has to be extracted carefully bc it has a long root and sometimes the root can break. This is an expense we cannot afford but must be treated quickly before it gets infected. This is the baby that showed up at my work the end of January. He has so many scars and has been abused. We literally have had him about 3 weeks. He is soooo happy but he is in pain. Please help us give him the life he deserves.
