Hi everyone,

Yesterday, we found a stray dog in serious condition. We brought him to the shelter, hoping they could help, but after checking for a microchip (he doesn't have one), they told us they couldn’t do much. They offered to keep him and "see if someone might adopt him," but we feared he wouldn’t get the urgent care he needs.

We named him Bruno and decided to bring him home.

Today, we took him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with several serious health issues. Just the initial visit cost $500, and he urgently needs X-rays ($575). The vet suspects he’ll need surgery, and we’re still waiting on the full estimate, but the vet told us that the total cost will be significant, and probably up to 3/4 k to do everything.

Bruno is also having ongoing vomiting and diarrhea, and to our shock, we found plastic in his vomit, which shows he may have been eating trash just to survive. He’s extremely underweight as you can see in the photo, compared to our other dog, he’s skin and bones.

Despite everything, Bruno is sweet, gentle, and trusting. He just wants to be safe and loved.

We’re doing all we can to help him recover, but we can’t do it alone. If you’re able to donate or share, we’d be incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps us give Bruno the care he needs, and the second chance he deserves.
