Every day across the Philippines, rescuers fight to save the lives of millions of stray dogs and cats, most living horrible, brutal lives on the streets.

These rescuers aren’t big organisations.

They’re ordinary people with extraordinary hearts, feeding the hungry, rescuing the injured, comforting the dying, often from their own kitchens, homes, and paychecks.

They live on hope and run on empty.

Many are left broken - emotionally, physically, and financially.

It’s compassion on credit.

I’ve spent the past months living and working alongside these heroes.

I’ve seen the heartbreak, the sleepless nights, the endless need .... and the love and compassion that never stops.

That’s why I created Kevala, a movement to rescue the rescuers.

Throughout November, we’re raising money to support these rescuers in December, to make their Christmas just a little easier.

To give them the food, medicine, and support they need to keep saving lives through the holiday season and beyond.

And we’ll tell you exactly where your donation has gone, how it’s helped, and, where possible, even the name of the animal whose life you helped save.
