My name is Jessica, and I am writing on behalf of our dear friend, Mina Hoshino.

If you know Mina, you know her as a fierce protector of the vulnerable. As the Founder of AnimO, she has devoted her life to giving a voice to the voiceless; rescuing animals that others had abandoned or given up on.

Today, the woman who has saved so many lives is facing the fight of her own.

Mina has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2B uterine cancer. This means the cancer has spread to her cervix, and the road ahead will be grueling. She is facing a possible radical hysterectomy, followed by weeks of radiation and chemotherapy to ensure the cancer is completely gone.

While Mina is ready to fight with everything she has, her greatest fear isn’t the treatment itself, rather the animals who depend on her every single day.

She built AnimO with her own two hands, creating a safe haven where the “unwanted” are finally loved. She has always been the first to answer when an animal is hurt, abandoned, or forgotten. Now, she needs us to answer for her.

We are raising funds to help cover her mounting medical expenses and to keep the sanctuary running while she focuses on healing. Your donation will go toward:

Caregivers and feed for the animals so she can recover without worry

ミナをご存じの方なら、彼女がどれほど弱い立場にある命を守ってきたかご存じだと思います。AnimOの創設者として、彼女は「声なき存在」に声を与えるために人生を捧げてきました。捨てられ、見放された動物たちを救い続け、安心して生きられる居場所を自らの手で築いてきました。

しかし今、その多くの命を救ってきたミナ自身が、人生で最も大きな闘いに直面しています。

ミナは最近、子宮頸部にまで広がったステージ2Bの子宮がんと診断されました。今後、広汎子宮全摘出術を受ける可能性があり、その後も放射線治療や化学療法が続く見込みです。決して容易な道のりではありません。

それでもミナは、持てる力のすべてで闘う覚悟です。

けれど彼女が最も恐れているのは治療そのものではなく、自分を必要としている動物たちのことです。

AnimOは、彼女がゼロから築き上げた“最後の居場所”です。傷つき、見捨てられた動物たちにとって、そこは初めて「愛される」ことを知る場所でした。

これまで、助けを求める命があれば、ミナは真っ先に駆けつけてきました。

今度は、私たちが彼女のために応える番です。

現在、増え続ける医療費の支援、そしてミナが安心して治療に専念できるよう、シェルターの運営維持のための寄付を募っています。
