My name is Mac Ullem, and I am currently working on my Eagle Scout Project for the Discovery Cube children's museum in Santa Ana, California (www.discoverycube.org). My project is the installation of a Rescue Station next to the sea animal demonstration. The Rescue Station includes an Automated External Defibrillator, Stop the Bleed supplies for severe bleeding of multiple victims, Narcan to rescue opioid overdose victims, signage, and additional supportive rescue gear. Signage will include use of epinephrine for life threatening allergic reactions. I will be co-producing educational videos addressing lifesaving bystander rescue skills for the more than 100 staff. This lifesaving project will help staff deal with medical emergencies before EMS arrives.
