Who is Sunny?

Sunny is a 3-year-old rescue pup with the gentlest eyes and the sweetest smile — but behind that lovable grin is a heartbreaking story and a body in pain.

We found Sunny homeless and alone on the west side of Oahu, covered in fleas and limping with visible injuries. A recent car accident left his right hip dislocated, and now every step he takes is filled with pain. He tries to walk. He tries to run. But he can’t, not without suffering.

When we brought him to the vet, they attempted to pop the hip back into place, but the damage was too severe. The only solution is surgery.

A New Beginning… If We Can Get Him There

Despite all he’s been through, Sunny is still full of love. He’s gentle, kind, and trusting — even after life has given him every reason not to be.

We’ve decided to adopt Sunny and give him the safe, loving home he’s never had. But we can’t do it alone. The surgery and care he needs to live pain-free will cost between $4,000–$6,000 and that’s where we’re humbly asking for your help.
