In February of 2024, we found our dog, Monkey. She is 3 years old. We fostered her from the Monmouth County SPCA who saved her from a dog fighting ring in Neptune, NJ. Since she was abused and neglected, she has had a long road getting back to being the happy lovable dog that we love with all our hearts.

We recently found out that there has been remodeling on her right joint, which means parts of her bones and joints are rubbing together when they shouldn’t be. Because of this, she needs surgery to stabilize her knee. Our vet told us that she needs this surgery as soon as possible, as the issue can turn into a lifetime of pain for her.

We love Monkey more than anything and want to give her a happy, long, comfortable life, but we have no idea how we can afford this. This procedure will exhaust all of our savings and make taking care of her and ourselves incredibly difficult.

We are expecting to pay around $9000 for her surgery, medications, X-Rays, CT scans, recovery and appointments. Any donation is greatly appreciated. If you want to help us but can’t donate, sharing this GoFundMe would go a long way.
