Rescue Paul's Guitar: A Heartfelt Mission

Hello, all! A verrrrry good thing is about to happen! But I need your help!
Almost six years ago I was very happily teaching in Beijing. Two weeks into the fall semester I was struck with streptococcal sepsis with multiple-organ shutdown. The outlook was grave, but with the help of many, many people (and my own determination), I recovered.
Hooray! But …
Virtually everything I owned was left behind and disposed of in China. Fortunately, my headmaster Lucky Joe Doggett snatched my 1987 CF Martin & Co. Herringbone Dreadnought 28 guitar from the fate of a Chinese landfill. It is in China with friends.
When I returned to New Jersey, some wonderful friends bought me a student-level guitar, which has taken up some of the slack, but my baby is my baby. Those of you who play an instrument understand.
The verrrrry good thing that’s about to happen is, hopefully, my getting my guitar back and getting it repaired. A colleague in Beijing has a friend who will take my guitar from Beijing to San Diego and turn it over to UPS to deliver to me. I will take it to the best guitar hospital in New York City.
I need to pay my colleague’s friend a small thank-you and whatever the airline will charge for a checked guitar (I’ve never had to pay extra). I need to pay for UPS to bring me the guitar from San Diego. I need to pay for the guitar’s repair in New York. The entire rescue budget comes to about $600.
Please help me make this long-overdue reunion a reality!
Your support is tremendously appreciated!
My guitar loves you! As do I.
