Urgent Call for Help from Angels With Paws

Dear Cat Lovers and Friends,

As many of you know, Angels With Paws has been a safe haven for our feline friends since 2003. Founded by Jean Ausenbaugh, our mission was to provide a loving home for cats and kittens until they find their forever families. However, we now face a critical situation that threatens everything we stand for.

Since Jean's unexpected passing in 2020, our fight to continue her legacy has become increasingly difficult. After Jean's passing, the building we had been operating out of was sold, and we were forced to find a new place for Angels With Paws to call home. We purchased a larger facility in August 2023, hopeful that we would now be able to help even more cats find their forever homes. However, the rising operating, supply, medication, and veterinary costs have left us at risk of closing our doors.

We are one of the few rescues in Colorado dedicated to helping special needs cats, including incontinent and diabetic kitties, and those with Feline Leukemia Virus. We take surrenders from community members facing housing insecurities or going into assisted living. We pride ourselves on our community efforts in helping our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release) partners throughout the area to place friendly kittens and pregnant mommas, and help our community feeders with food.

But we can't do it alone. The cats rely on us, and if we close, their futures are uncertain. We urgently need your support. Any amount helps, whether it's a one-time donation or becoming a regular supporter.
