For years, it has been my grandmother's dream to reestablish the apiary she began working on years prior. My mom and aunt did the best they could with keeping it up, but unfortunately after a series of health problems that lead to my grandmother being admitted to the hospital and eventually passing, the materials for and foundations of the bee hives fell into disrepair. We are already looking at several thousands of dollars just in renovating the structure and getting new hives built.
My grandmother, Kathleen, was a simple woman who loved her flowers and loved to see the bees enjoying them as much as she did. My mom and aunt are the only two of her children still alive. They are both seniors who live month to month on a very fixed and limited income and do not have the physical or financial means to take on this work by themselves.
Your donation goes DIRECTLY to rebuilding the farm house, which will serve as a home base and a processing center for all of the Birckhead Bees products, making manufacturing and distribution tremendously easier.
Please help us to save our family farmland and restore her apiary to its working condition.
