Hey gang!

We have rescued yet another dog from our street. This little hippo showed up an hour before the Super Bowl started. We had to coax her a little bit, but it didn't take long for her to understand we were here to help her. We decided to name her NOLA after the city hosting the big game. She is settling in and doing well with the dogs and the kiddos too. Nola is a little extra curious about the kitties, and we are working on that relationship!

Now for what Nola needs to get in tip-top shape for a new and better home...

We have taken her to the vet, and she has a few things that need some attention. She tested positive for HWs and she has some really damaged ears from years of untreated ear infections. See, she has cropped ears that were definitely not done in a professional setting. Her having the open ears that were probably not kept clean or treated correctly has left her with some monster ear growths and tumors. You cannot see down her ear AT ALL! As a result of this, she cannot hear much either :( She will need TECA (total ear canal ablation) surgery in both ears.

TECA Surgery = $2700

HW Treatment = $800

Spay = $300
