I want to share a bit more about my story with you. My name is Mohamed El-Saigaly. I am 32 years old and I live with my family in horrible conditions in the Gaza Strip in Palestine. Before the conflict in the Gaza Strip tore through our lives, I worked tirelessly as a barber, striving to provide my wife and children with the best life possible. Every haircut I gave was a labor of love, driven by the hope of building a brighter future for my family.
However, the reality we now face is far from the dreams we once held dear. As our savings dwindled and our resources vanished, the simple joys of life – food on the table, medicine for the sick, and basic necessities for our baby became unattainable luxuries.
My children, aged 8, 5, and 1, look to me with hopeful eyes, unaware of the challenges we face. As a father, it breaks my heart to see the worry etched on their faces as they ask when they will have a warm meal again or if they can play outside without fear. My wife, once the beacon of strength in our family, now struggles to hide her tears as she wonders how to keep our youngest safe and healthy without the most basic essentials.
The life we once knew teeters on the edge of oblivion, and the future feels uncertain and bleak. But amidst the despair, your support offers a glimmer of hope. With your help, we can restore dignity and stability to our shattered lives.
