Rescue Home in Arusha Tansania- Bildung als Ausweg

Hallo Welt,

ich bin Johanna und arbeite als Unterstützung bei der NGO „HIMD“ (https://himd.or.tz) in Arusha, Tansania. Ein großer Bestandteil der Arbeit dieser wunderbaren Kollegen hier in Ngaratoni ist, dass sie junge Mädchen vor Zwangsehe, Misshandlung und Genitalverstümmelung retten, ihnen ein Zuhause geben & ihnen Schul-Bildung ermöglichen. Viele der 13-jährigen Mädchen haben sogar schon eigene Babys (u.a. von Vergewaltigungen).

Die Schulkosten für ein Jahr / Mädchen betragen circa 1000€.

Da im Rescue Home aktuell 25 Mädchen & Babys aufgenommen wurden, und die Kapazitäten aber 40 Mädchen sind, brauchen wir dringend Unterstützung für die Schulkosten wie Essen, Schuluniform & Materialien.

Ich war selbst häufig bei den Mädchen im Rescue Home & deren Lebensgeschichten waren dramatisch & berührend. Trotz dessen bin ich beeindruckt, wie herzlich & dankbar die Mädchen und Kollegen für jede finanzielle Unterstützung sind.

I'm Johanna and I work as a support worker at the NGO “HIMD” (https://himd.or.tz) in Arusha, Tanzania. A big part of the work of these wonderful colleagues here in Ngaratoni is that they save young girls from forced marriage, abuse and genital mutilation, give them a home and enable them to get an education. Many of the 13-year-old girls even have babies of their own (from rape).

The school costs for one year/girls are approximately €1000.

Since 25 girls and babies have currently been admitted to the Rescue Home and the capacity is 40 girls, we urgently need support for school costs such as food, school uniform and materials.

I often visited the girls in the Rescue Home and their life stories were dramatic and touching. Despite this, I am impressed by how warm and grateful the girls and colleagues are for any financial support.
