French Bulldogs in Ecuador are facing a critical welfare crisis. Due to a lack of understanding about this delicate breed's specific needs, many French Bulldogs are exposed to extreme temperatures, neglect, and poor care. The breed's unique physiology makes them highly susceptible to heatstroke and respiratory distress, especially in Ecuador's tropical climate. Furthermore, the demand for French Bulldogs has led to widespread exploitation, with many dogs being used as breeding machines for profit, without regard for their health or well-being. As a result, these loving companions are suffering at the hands of irresponsible breeding practices and inadequate care. It's essential to raise awareness about the plight of French Bulldogs in Ecuador and promote education, advocacy, and compassion to protect these vulnerable animals.
We are urgently seeking help for Teddy and Browners to make it out of Ecuador safely. They will be arriving at our sister rescue center, Frenchies United, which specializes in placements for French Bulldog breeds, located in California.
