Rescue for a dedicated EMT and ER RN

Hi,I'm Lisa Walker, RN and am setting this up for my friend and co-worker, John Repage. John has been a professional life saver for more than 30 years. He has been a dedicated EMT at Victory Memorial hospital and RUMC AND an ER nurse at Maimonides Medical Center.

September 2022 saw John needing a significant surgery on the spine in his neck. (From C2-T2 for us in the field) . This spinal fusion requires an extended recovery. I know this from experience, I and the same thing over 1 year ago. It is not something that allows one to run right back to work in an emergency responder role.

Due to some paucity of disability benefits, John has now found himself as the one needing rescue! He has exhausted his savings accounts and maxed out available credit cards and, in the recent past, has been relying on local food pantries to eat. His gas, electric and cable are about to be shut off for non-payment. Is it any wonder John is struggling even more this holiday season ? John feels that co-workers don't watch out for eachother like they used to, let's PROVE HIM WRONG and RESTORE HIS belief in the bonds of FIRST RESPONDERS.

Any amount can help and I know if we all just give a bit, we can help our brother get through this and allow him to concentrate on his physical recovery.
