Hi, I’m a veterinary student in Bulgaria, and I want to thank you for taking the time to read our story.
Over the past year, I’ve been researching the situation of stray dogs—gathering data on their numbers, migration patterns, and euthanasia rates. Combined with my real-life experiences, this journey has challenged everything I thought I knew and made me question the bigger picture.
We’ve already built dog houses and have been caring for stray dogs with food, love, and essential supplies since September 1st 2024. I will do my best to continue this mission—and do even more in the future. But this story is not about me.
It’s about them—the dogs who have no home, no warm bed, and often no meal. Who are injured and can't receive the help they need—who just need someone to give them the chance they deserve.
But I don’t want to focus only on the negativity.
There have been real moments of hope—we successfully found a loving home for one dog, and we adopted a stray puppy ourselves, who will turn one in August 2025. While we don’t yet have the funding to build a facility or operate as a registered non-profit, we see the light in the dogs’ eyes when they feel safe, when they’re no longer afraid—when they know the sun will shine a little brighter today.
If you’d like to be part of this journey and help stray dogs in Bulgaria get the food, shelter, and care they need, you can donate here.
Thank you—from me, and most of all, from them.
