I’m Kira, a freelance digital artist in India. My elderly mother was recently targeted by men with money, power, and connections. They manipulated her into accepting needed funds under the promise of purchasing her home—but there was no paperwork, no agreement. It was a trap.
Once they backed out of the “deal,” they demanded the money back and began threatening both of us—using intimidation, legal manipulation, and even issuing death threats. These are not just creditors. They are conmen using fear and influence to force her into surrendering her home for a fraction of its value.
We went to the police, but due to deep corruption and apathy, we received no real protection or support. My mother is physically and emotionally devastated. She’s being forced to handle this alone, against powerful people who know exactly how to twist the system.
She was pressured into signing a legal document promising full repayment within 2 months, by June 10th—or face court action. We’ve already paid part of what they demand, but we are racing against time to protect her from losing everything.
This money will help us finish repaying what they’re using to hold her hostage and finally give us the chance to take legal steps to fight back. Without this, we could lose our home and even our safety.
