Please meet Dawn!!! What a story she has to tell….allow me to share please??!!

While sitting poolside in St. Maarten something caught my eye….turned out to be a limping pup. Of course I couldn’t help myself and I quickly got a bowl of water and a sandwich and then searched for her hiding place. She was incredibly skittish and quickly got away from me. Others were watching and I soon discovered “my people”. Turns out “Dawn” (named for Dawn Beach) had been living at the hotel for about a year and had somehow gotten injured. The staff had been caring for her but had been unable to catch her….even with the help of the local rescue. Call in a fabulous group of rescuers within 2 hours we captured Dawn!!! As we waited for the rescue organization to arrive many of the hotel employees came to celebrate with us! We discovered that Joseph had been trying to capture her and adopt her himself!

The picture above is Dawn on her rescue ride! She has a broken paw and heart worms…..the cost for her care is $2000 and I’m hoping with others help we can cover this expense so that Joseph can adopt her and bring her back with him when he returns to work in the US in a couple of months!
